Ladbrokes.com today announced it is the first leading online betting and gaming site to launch an online backgammon service.
Developed with the help of top tournament organiser and legendary player Lewis Deyong, the new game, available on www.ladbrokesgames.com, offers 'Playstation quality' graphics and sound effects. Ladbrokes believes the new service will capture the attention of existing offline backgammon players as well as attracting online poker players and casino gamers who have never played backgammon before.
Initially the service will be available in the leather-board style design that is popular in Northern Europe, but will be followed by a wooden-board style option that is more popular in mediterranean countries. The service is available from today in English and Greek, with further languages launching later this year beginning with Swedish, Danish and Turkish.
